Library card numbers changing Monday, March 1st

To coincide with the new HawkCard, library card numbers for all students, faculty and staff at the Plant City Campus will be changing Monday, March 1st, 2010. The number on your existing library card will no longer work after this date. This change will not effect your Hawkmail, Campus Cruiser, or Web Advisor logins.

Your library card number is now your seven digit student or employee number. This is the number that will also appear on your HawkCard.

Your PIN will not change. If you forget your PIN, please contact us and we can reset it to the default for you. The default PIN is the last four digits of your student number.

This change should not affect community or reciprocal borrowers. If you are a student at another HCC campus, your number may have already been changed.

Winter break - library closed

The Plant City Campus Library will be closed for winter break until the first day of classes, January 11, 2010. You can still return library materials in our outside book drop by the front door. If you need immediate assistance over the break, please knock or call 757-2163. Happy holidays!

Blu Rays are now available

Selected movies on Blu Ray are now available for check out at the library. Student government has funded the purchase of a number of movies and television shows they've selected in the Blu Ray format. You can find them on our new Blu Ray shelf near the DVD shelves. Not all of them are available yet, but we're working hard to get them out on the shelves so you can check them out. Remember, to watch a Blu Ray disc you need a Blu Ray compatible player. Unfortunately, these discs cannot be viewed on the library computers but there is a Blu Ray player available in the Student Center.

We were closed last week for recarpeting but the library is open again and the computers are back and available for everyone to use.
